Microsoft recently released a teaser page on its very own hardware site, pushing the date of ‘9.9.08′ and the slogan ‘Say Goodbye to Laser’.

Microsoft recently released a teaser page on its very own hardware site, pushing the date of ‘9.9.08′ and the slogan ‘Say Goodbye to Laser’. Rumours are rife (as always with a large company), but it looks like MS is all set to bring out a revolutionary new type of mouse technology.

High-end mice have pretty much solely been using laser technology since 2004, when Logitech introduced the MX 1000 - but how many times have you sat down at a coffee table and plugged in the mouse, only to find it won’t move?

For me, it happens frequently, leaving me with the good old trackpad to use instead. However, this new ‘Blue Track’ technology from Microsoft supposedly allows the mouse to work on many more surfaces than the current laser and optical mice.

This ‘Blue Track’ mouse uses a blue LED in combination with a wide-angle lens which is said to offer “excellent performance and accuracy on most surfaces allowing you to control your computer from anywhere you want… This mouse is ideal for notebooks due to its small size”.

Could this new technology see the end of the laser mouse? As the Godfather of optical technology, way back with the introduction of the Intellimouse Explorer, it seems likely that if anyone can do it, Microsoft can.

Today we’re looking at Too Human, which hits Europe’s stores tomorrow.
Now this is a game chock full of awesome ideas both for the story and the engine, and deserves a lot of praise for that, but does it actually gel together well as an enjoyable game experience?
Check out our review to find out!

These latest models are powered by the Intel Atom processor, which is high-performance in a relatively small package.
But can these MIDs truly deliver a decent user experience? I go hands on to find out.
