Hi guys,

Just wanted to give you a quick update on ChannelFlip as we’ve had inboxes full of people asking - “Wherefore art thy new shows?”

We have been working like crazy behind the scenes to do a number of very cool things - redesigning the look and feel of our website, getting up and running in a new video production studio, hiring some new peeps and cutting some cool deals that will mean you can see ChannelFlip in all sorts of places. Unfortunately, we don’t have the hands to do everything at once and so we have had to put the shows on hiatus for a couple of weeks.

However, we are now just at the stage where we are going to be back up and running with a stonking amount of awesome new content - so stay tuned, the best is yet to come!

New episode of Killing Time today, looking at the best way to maximise your drinks cupboard! You can find it, for now, at Killing-time.blip.tv. We are working to get it integrated into the ChannelFlip player, above, but the code is being a pain at the moment! Rest assured, we are also taking on board your feedback about the show to improve it.

We appreciate that our show schedule is a little slower than normal at the moment. Please bear with us - good stuff is coming, and more of it than ever!

Wow! So today we hit 50 episodes of our shows, making for 150 in total. That is a fantastic number and I’m absolutely delighted that you guys have watched enough of our shows to make this worthwhile. We are working hard to make sure that the next 50 are very cool indeed - there is plenty happening behind the scenes here at CFHQ - so stay tuned!

Just to let you know that the new shows for today are up in the Flash player above, as well as on the regular iTunes and RSS feeds.

As part of the technical changes I mentioned on Monday, we’ve changed the format of the iTunes download - rather than being an H.264 MP4 as it was, it is now an MPEG4 .mov.

This should be absolutely transparent to everyone in terms of actually playing the file in iTunes or on an iPod/iPhone, but if you have any problems, do let me know (wil at channelflip.com).

Hey guys!

As you will known if you’d listened to TWiT this week, ChannelFlip has been going bananas over the past few weeks - with hundreds of thousands of views of our videos and some amazing interest in what we’re doing.

Unfortunately, all of that has taken its toll on our infrastructure, most of which was hastily cobbled together by yours truly at the back-end of last year in a mad rush to get this thing online.

So, whilst we spend a couple of days making some tweaks to the way we make and upload video for ChannelFlip, there won’t be any new shows going out today - but rest assured that normal programming service will be resumed on Wednesday. In the meantime, browse back through our show archives and check out the episodes you’ve missed!

Thanks for the understanding guys and gals - we are working super hard here to make CF.com bigger and better than ever! Stay tuned…

After our previous brush with fame in The Independent, it seems the rest of Fleet Street is waking up to the fact that online TV is where it’s at. We’re mentioned in this piece in the ST about the future of television (in the same paragraph as FunnyOrDie, natch).

Scratch another notch on the CF bedpost, we’re taking on the world…
