Earlier this week I took at look at the EOS 500D from a Canon, a new high-end DSLR that really sits between the 450D and the 5D Mk 2. Today I’ve got something a bit different in the form of a prosumer super-zoom, the SX200.

This is designed to be a camera that you can take away with you and get decent pictures, without having the weight of a DSLR to lug around. It also shoots video, and it has a rather decent 12MP sensor.

I read the disclaimer for the previous video, so I appreciate that this isn’t a review as such. I’m not sure what it is meant to be though. Having watched the video, I am now aware that the canon SX200 exists and what features it has. I also now know that warehouse express exists and that they sell said camera. What I haven’t gained is whether the camera is any good in practice. Is it reliable? Is the picture quality any good? How does it compare to similar cameras?

jpdeleon said it. Objectivity. Without it these articles are pretty pointless.

It’s ok, but it doesn’t shoot in RAW, only JPG.
