Maritime horror thrillier Donkey Punch caused a sea-wave of outrage when it was released in the UK.
Daily Mail types thought the sex and the violence was overly gratuitous.
And, to be fair, they might have a point. This film is unabashed in its depiction of youthful carnage.
Look beyond the headline grabbing, though, and there are a lot of good things going on here. For example, there’s an accomplished directorial debut from Oliver Blackburn and some solid performances to boot.
