tech: 10 Qs - Molly Wood

For the next part of our tech personality interview series, Wil stops by the Cnet offices to have a chat with Molly Wood, one of the most well-known - and certainly one of the better looking - internet broadcasters out there. They talk iPhone, tongue piercings, and Molly’s rather fetching pyjamas.

I have to agree about the cliquey nature of the internets. I’m usually a total lurker on forums and messageboards because I see how many people get shot down or criticised for being a “noob”. I totally don’t get twitter either!

Channelflip seems to be one of the more grown up places to have a sensible discussion without a flame war breaking out.

/me hates to be an editor but “Wil stops by the Cnet offices to have a chat to Molly Wood,” I suggest chat with Molly Wood :)

Wil,

Good edit on the question: “what really gets on your nerves”

Always a blast to see “the Molly”

Sorry to be that person, but \Tell me about you pyjamas\… your?

Wil,

I’m LOVING this whole 10 Qs thusfar, first with Leo, now with Molly. Keep up the great work! The idea is so simple, a short interview the most interesting and pervasive internet personalities and the results are just amazing, fabulous and hilarious. It may sound simple, but these are all insanely busy people, so setting something like this up must be really hard to plan out. I can’t wait to find out who you’re interviewing next!

What a nice person, I so agree with the alienation idea.
I spend my day telling people to get involved with the web and tech. People are not just scared of tech but also of the geeks.

I love that Molly openly pointed out the clique-ish-ness on the internet. I think it’s very true. I hesitate sometimes to join conversations and I consider myself pretty geeky. I hope this will improve over time. I think it will, looking back at the adoption of email and Web1.0 in the past.

Mollys attitude to life brightens the day! She was spot on with the comment about printers when she says she hates having to tell her mom why she can’t print. I totally agree that it can’t be that hard to invent the home printer that we are all waiting for! Thanks for the 10 q’s interview.

Nice interview, although it’s to bad the questions aren’t audible when one only can hear the clips (I know, it’s video).

Hate to be that guy, but it’s really a shame we can hear the microphone all the time.

Love the tongue thing hahaha. That face she made was hilarious. Molly ftw! Great job Channelflip dudes.

These are great interviews Mr. Harris! I have booked marked the site of yours so I can follow more in the future. I heard of it from your time with TWIT casts and hope you continue with the most interesting people on the tech net scene.

If I had a euro for every time I’ve yelled, kicked or slapped my home printer I’d be rolling in money. Molly ftw!

I love your comments about printers! It’s the gods honest truth, printers are infuriating.
