Today we take a look at the JBL 610 Bluetooth iPod headphones.
The good news is that these babies are wireless and feel reasonably comfortable.
The bad news is the less-than-impressive sound performance.

it’s interesting that these add an extra layer of compression on top of, as you say, already lossy MP3. Bluetooth 1.0 has, I believe, a bandwidth of ~0.7mbps which is more than double the highest mp3 bitrate (0.32mbps) you can get, so technically there’s enough bandwidth for even the lowest compression MP3 encodings.
