Hey, nice review…i was just wondering is this phone available in Red in the UK. The reason I am asking is after searching relentlessly online, i have only managed to find it available in blue either from O2 or Orange.

can you get onto msn and facebook free if your on pay as you go, is the camera good ??

This phone has msn, its called orange messenger but you use your msn details to log in so its the same. And it works on pre-pay.
And you get free facebook, myspace and bebo if you have orange on the dolphin plan (maybe other plans too, I dont know).
The camera is alright, not that good if you zoom and the video camera is pretty good too.

hey, i’ve had this fone for bout a month and its pretty cool. I had nokia N95 b4 but that broke so decided to get this instead. Its fine for me, the camera’s not as good but i’ll get over it.

Seems colourwise RED only in Australia, and pink or blue in UK.

So i’m guessin the people who want the other colours will have to go on ebay for it, but when you search u have to click the advanced search (blue text) just next to the search button and scoll down thru the details on th advanced ssearch page, till quite near the bottom if not at the bottom and it says location, tick the box that says ‘Only show items’ and then click the top option (circle) ‘From preferred locations’, then from the adjacent drop down menu selct worldwide, this’ll show u all the phones even in other countries. Hopefully this way you can buy the colours u want.

Though I would say its prob worth gettin the seller to unlock them b4 u buy it to ensure it’ll work ok with any of ur home country’s networks.

Just to enlighten some of you, this is a great phone for young people. As a 19 year old girl myself, I’ve always loved a side slide with full QWERTY keyboard phone and I have just purchased a Samsung ’sidekick’ phone last month. However, upon finding out the release of this phone, I quickly hit the phone shop to buy it out right for a reasonable price of AUD199! What drew my attention was the colour. I have always been a fan of the colour red, but never really got the chance to buy a good red coloured phone so far. Upon 2 days of owning this phone, it’s been serving me well with its functions and all. However, there are some drawbacks..

1. Video: The video playback seems to be lagging by 1-2 seconds. It makes your viewing displeasurable and weird.

2. Tools: By having explored Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson phones in the past, this phone has given me a lil’ of a hassle by not being able to have a direct shortcut to the Calendar. I’m a heavy scheduler and constantly use my phone to refer to the calendar. And this phone doesn’t offer that. Hence, I need to go through the main menu –> tool –>organiser –> calendar, JUST to check my exam date!

3. Files: Somehow, I can’t seem to move my file (eg. music, image etc) to a specific folder. This phone only moves file to either External or Internal Main Folder, but not to the specific folder if you want to get things organized. I find this pathetic as you have to scroll down to a whole bunch of photos before you can find the one you really want. It seems very disorganized sometimes, especially with all your files scattered around.

4. Start Up: The start up seems to take much longer as expected.

5. File Transfer: When connected to my MacBook with the data cable, I can’t seem to detect my MicroSD memory card, which means I can’t tranfer my data directly to my External Memory. I have to go through the hassle of transferring data to the Internal Memory first, then eject the cable, and then move all my data from the Internal and External Memory Card. And this process repeats for numerous times as the phone only offers 15mb of Internal Memory, until I have transferred all my data. What a hassle!
Apart from that, it is a great simple phone in itself. With an affordable price like AUD199, we can’t expect a really high end phone that gives us all the features that may satisfy all the consumers. However, I hope LG can look into all these for the sake of maintaining their standard and to gain our trust.

You can get the phone from Boost (Optus) for only AUD199. And you will have to use the prepaid card provided in the packaging and reload it up to AUD80 in order to unlock the phone. Only then you can use it with Telstra. Hope this helps. Cheers!

just brought this phone for my daughter.She badgered me for a week till i gave in.colors:red /blue/black / pink and lilac but so far i’ve seen only red in store.other colors on ebay for $400 mark ($200 extra for a color??). so easy to use even i can use it and im 38.bright colorful , touch screen dialing only atm but updates are being talked about to make the touch screen more usable. keypad letters light up.nice smooth slide action. mp3 sound is just a perfect level and can be used for your ring tones .comes with standard ears phones(lg compatible only - bit of a bummer possibility you can buy an adapter) charger,data cable and software.my only concern is the case color may ware off, white text letters / symbols might ware off and on the fount , the on off button area is a soft plastic material and might crack or ware through after a while.not sure if this can be replaces.cant replace the covers SO make sure you buy a crystal hard case (ebay) P.S im off to buy one my self

im sure accessing the internet wouldn’t be a problem. BUT remember its not cheap .check into the costs before you connect with your net work provider.

hey i love this phone and im getting one in 2 days and im scared it will be sold out when i gotu get it.
it only comes in red which sux but it has msn, just gotu the optus site and download it ontu ur phone from there and subscripe for somthing like 4AUS a month for unlimited msn which is fantastic. i was going tu get a hiptop but i found out you can only hav heaps of cool extras if you get it on a plan…
so i thort, meh.

i can’t wait and i cant sleep in waiting for this phone lol

I got the phone its sooo awesome, and yeh it works fine with a 4gb i have a 4gb in my right now and its great, it might work a little slower but its soo worth it with the extra room, but if your not going to use the 4gb dont get it stick with a 2gb, i only got it because ill will use it all up, i got soo many songs and stuff to put on it etc. The max this phone can handle is 4gb, it hasnt really been tested for more but i wouldn’t chance it. I got mine through a great optus dealer and its soo great, the only fault i find is the colour red but oh well its cant be 100% perfect! ill get used to it! The best part is i was ment to get this as a christmas present but my old phone died so i got it now yay, so to all those ppl waiting for it for christmas, its worth the wait!
I have had it for 4 days now and i still am working things out, but its heaps easy and heaps fun, it comes with demo games such as ‘Sims 2 castaway’ and ‘Need for Speed’, also ‘Sudokucafe’. The camera is pretty good for 2 megapixel, but u really should get a memory card because the phone memory really isnt enough.

I brought my LG KS360 today and its great, i love the slide out feure and as i can write on a keyboard fast its so quick to write texts aspecialy as im realy slow with the normal keys on a phone, its a pity you can ony use the touch screen to dial numbers but the rest of the phone makes up for it, The radio is brilliant I found every station I wanted, I know it has to do this because the slide out keboard comes out the side but i love the way the screen turns 90 degreas when you pull out the keyboard. It comes with no applications which is a shame because most phones come with something like world clock or face warp. The camera is good quality and no matter what people say the video capture quality is just as good. The fact that it can hold documents is usefull and I have allready put some of my college work on it. This phone would of been usefull in maths a few years ago because in tools there is a section called unit converter with things like velocity, volume, weight and length converter so its very clever aswell. I have it on O2 in blue, I paid £100 and you have to put £10 credit on aswell, On O2 you can ony get it in blue but in Orange (the shop) you can have it in pink aswell, and on orange you only pay £80 and you dont need to put credit on it but its usually out of stock and I dont like it that orange have to put there logo on the front, it looks stupid a blue and black phone with a bright orange logo on the front of it. YOU CANNOT GET THIS PHONE IN RED OR PURPLE OR ANY OTHER COLOUR THAN BLUE AND PINK UNLESS YOU BUY IT ABROAD ON EBAY!!!.

Now thats all you need to know

i got this phone… umm… 5 days ago & i LOVE i SO much!! can’t put it down!! very nice!! i have had BIG probs with the phones that i have been buying but this one solves EVERYTHING! it’s FANTASTIC!! in perth (aus) it is only available in red (which i got) & it is available on boost mobile which runs off optus. as for free msn, facebook, bebo, myspace etc. it’s not completely free. you have to pay to connect to pages but the usage once connected is free. the connection fee to the different pages is VERY cheap!! as for a memorycard, no it does not come with one but it has a large amount of enternal memory & if you desire more, you can insert a memory card. it does come with earphones but there is no standars 3.5 mm jack it’s a special lg port. yeah basically, it’s GREAT!! camera better than nokia 3.2 mp camera yet it’s only a 2. very fast internet & GREAT screen quality. touch screen also EXTREMELY responsive & lots of hidden features that you wouldn’t expect from a phone of this price. Also, almost everything is customisable

would HIGHLY reccommend. 10/10!

I have this phone in pink and i’ve and it for a couple of weeks and it seems good. I wanted a phone no one else would have but it didn’t work out so well because everyone seems to be getting it now! When textiing the letters sometimes dont come up and it hasn’t got a light but otherwise a reccomended phone.

i got that phone in blue color a month ago and it’s just amazing.. you can add any software you want, from mobile msn to other browser, it makes nice pics, touchscreen, all the functions are great!!

only one down side is that it has got no WiFi and no touchscreen to chose in menues, but only for writing a phone number or to search in phone book..

so i give him a descent 4/5 points..

Had this phone for around two months. Good phone. Stylish. Easy to use. But not much internal memory. Does not come with memory card. Runs out of battery quickly. Otherwise good phone.

please READ ALL other posts your answer might have already been answered before.

1)To add songs to your phone you will need to install them to the EXTERNAL memory ( SD micro card not onto the phone memory)
2)THIS phone HAS blue tooth..It dose not had Infared
3) Internet and MSN will work if you unlock the phone
4) If i remember rightly the internet is slow on this phone. Check out data costs before trying to connect.

I love this Phone i only purchased it yesterday! I have had my eye on it for so long and finally got the money to purchase it!! Woooo i like everything about it except:
When playing a game i have to leave the phone on landscape mode and the other thing is that in Australia you can only buy red =[ and i can’t find hard cases! but other than that I LOVE IT!! it’s my best phone yet! it’s so easy to type and everything!

Meaghan, i dont know how much storage this phone holds, but i heard its really good, it can hold many songs just by itself, i like my music so i have a 1GB card aswell, but you shouldnt need it, im only using it co i cant be bothered transferring it all on the phone, and to go on MSN it depends on what network you are on, ofcourse its going to cost, but it is the same rate as the internet to go get on it, photos i aitn sure about. but music storage is a 5 out of 5 =D and i think it has certain special effect, but very limited. -Shaun =]

ok let me set everything sraight ok i live in aus so these detail will apply to australia. first of all it goes by the name Boost Mobile Web Slider in Australia and is availible for $199 AUD. currently it is only availible in black and red In Australia, inside the box is a Boost mobile sim pack which is required to activate your phone when purchased it is locked to optus (Boost) which is a good network considering the rate plans which include Boost Web Rider, Boost Text Anytime and a few extra that i cannot remember i really like this phone and think its great for all you Teens/Tweens who love texting or just want a stylish phone that all your friends will envy you for owning. hope this has helped.

To those having trouble getting songs to external memory:

When a memory card is inserted and you attach the usb cable

go to your Windows desktop and double-click My Compter.

It will show your what drives are connected to you computer.

It should show both the internal memory of your phone and the memory card in your phone.

Both will be referred to as removable disks. Choose the bigger one.

right-click>properties will show you the size.

Heey, urm… i decided to get this phone cause i like fell in love with itt.. but everywhere i looook its out of stock, its not well known in the uk and no one i know or my friends knowww has one…. why is it soooo hard to become available??

okay l hope this helps to everyone who wants this fone l got 4 christmas its fab and l got it in red of course l wanted the blue one but it cant be perfect ok so; it has bluetooth, external ,emory 4 up to 4gig a numeric touch scream the camera is good 2megapixel qwerty keyboard it has mypace and hotmail and all the otherstuff oh and really cool 4 texting its heaps quick and foe all the peoples wondering weather to get it l strongly recommend it oh and if u need more info there is this guy who made a video on it l think its stupid but anyways go on it and buy the phone

YOU CAN TRANSFER FILES EASILY ONTO THIS PHONE!!!

In the manual look up SETTINGS - USING YOUR PHONE AS A MASS STORAGE DEVICE. Its on page 55 and if you follow the instructions properly you can transfer files as much as you want into the places you want just by clicking and dragging.

Simple.

Hope that helps y’all who didn’t think you could transfer files as easily.
