games: Viva Pinata 2: Trouble in Paradise London launch

Last week we went to London Zoo for a presentation by Justin Cook and Adam Park of Rare who were showing off some of the new features in Viva Pinata 2: Trouble in Paradise.

The original game was met with great critical acclaim, and the new additions look fantastic too.

In particular we loved the use of the 360 camera for ‘Pinata Vision’ which Adam talks us through here, and the fully fleshed out co-op mode.

Both Trouble in Paradise and Pocket Paradise (the new DS incarnation) are out now - keep your eyes on the site for my reviews coming soon.

Enjoy!

Do the new Pinata contain fags and booze this time around? Must be going for a more mature market this time around!

I really enjoyed VP1, I would highly recommend it. The new one sounds pretty good too.

Ah, another signature episode where a review/preview is cut with footage liable to induce terrifying acid flashbacks in some viewers. Top stuff! Luckily I learnt my lesson about watching these whilst drinking anything or there’d be coffee on the keyboard again.

Certain sections of that video were just downright disturbing :o

Haha, great! Sure, would have been better without the kids in the background and with more (legal) drugs, but fun non the less :)

There goes another superior preview.

While watching more than the last several, I was wondering where the fun spirit had gone. Sitting in your room, on the floor, is always cool. Maybe after the Zelda review, after someone criticized the fun willingness for life you all choreographed, which is brilliantly fantastic, and one part of the true spirit of gaming, trying to make a CBS news report out of your gaming reviews, freedom is returning.

What a fresh breath of air this creativity produces, simply unpretentious, uniquly intelligent, and pleasurable. And for that, plus to hear and see the brainy Katharine, I enjoy coming by.

Be nice to the poor, poor, piƱatas. Okay, maybe not, but, do be nice to that one, that bad special one.

Katharine, my mother did not take to the PS3 nor Tools of Destruction, but I have been looking over Folklore, she is Irish, and I think it may be a goal; I’ll let you know.

P.S. Please, tell Insomniac to kick rocks if they do not add keys and mice to their next F.P.S, I have.

Cigs…, WHAT…, to the curb Kat!

…thanks all,

~Joe

Nice try Katharine, but I’m still not interested in being a furry.

Just one question: Did you already have the costume?

Totally kawaii!
