games: September Gaming

Hello all,

Today’s episode is something a little different from the normal reviews and features. One response to my recent appeal to find out the sort of thing you guys wanted to see on the show was that I should do a monthly round up of noteworthy releases that I might not have covered (thanks Schmung).

I think this is a great idea as with three shows a week I am never going to be able to cover everything in review depth, and this way you have all the information about the most interesting releases in one place.

I’ve also decided to look to the month ahead so, even if they’re something I’ll be reviewing later on, you’ll be reminded to look out for games as they’re released.

Those of you who have been watching the show for a while will remember I did something similar in those release rich months leading up to Christmas last year and they seemed to be popular and useful so I hope you enjoy this one too.

As well as game releases, I’ve also put in a few bits of gaming related hardware, lifestyle and news type items you might want to keep your eyes peeled for.

I’m hoping to make this a regular monthly feature, so do please leave me some feedback and let me know what you think.

Thanks for all your continued support!

- Katharine

Cool feature! I can’t wait to see FIFA 09, although I hope it changes a lot - compared to the 07/08 releases which look exactly the same.

September is a bit of an embarrassment of riches really. There’s not way I can afford all the games I want this month, so I’ve resigned myself to waiting on the reviews of Mercenaries and Spore and picking one of those.

Quite like the Force Unleashed demo, but that can wait and I want to know how prevalent those stupid God of War boss battle timing things are.

Nice show, there was loads of stuff in there like Baja that I haven’t even noticed ’till now. Perhaps it’s worth extending the length of these monthly roundup shows (assuming you intend to keep doing them) a bit to allow for a bit more detail?

Me love you long time?

That was excellent, I’m glad it’s staying. And while this september is good, it’s not a patch on last year, which was the best autumn ever, full stop.

Ah release date confusion and change! Just thought I’d update two of dates that have changed in the last week… Crysis Warhead is now coming out on the 19th and Sacred 2 has slipped way back and will be coming out on PC, 360 and PS3 on November 7th. Cheers!

You missed off TNA Impact for multiplatform games.
