tech: Intel Nehalem Core i7 Processor
I’m out here at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco this week, the annual shindig where Intel lays out its plans for its lineup of computer gizmos and pulls back the curtain on some of the research the company has been pouring its millions into.
Today, the big announcement was a new processor to replace the current Core 2 Duo, codenamed Nehalem. Intel is officially calling it ‘Core i7′, so make sure you get that stuck in your head.
The chip has got a couple of cool features, even if no one can work out how exactly to pronounce it. Watch the vid for my report from sunny San Fran.

HA - Remember when PC’s had “turbo switches?” We should just bring those back, and then everyone will leave them in the “on” position all the time.
Also, it looks like Wil is reporting from the Matrix in several of the shots. (the white room) Kudos. Reporting is always easier when you can alter the laws of physics.
