film: Holy Moly!

Life in a start-up business is never dull.

Take the last few days for example. Aside from shooting my regular three shows a week, I shot a new pilot series that will soon premiere on ChannelFlip. The concept of the show is “the world’s first interactive agony aunt column”. We’ve got two gorgeous, intelligent girls who will answer any question you guys email in. And I mean any question!

The first cut looks absolutely stunning, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it. We’ll be looking at launching it in a couple of weeks.

Next up I helped one of our friends Mat Le Roche shoot one of his brilliant Jelly videos. This also will be part of a new section that we will also be launching in a couple of weeks. Without giving too much away, this channel will be an opportunity for you guys to get creative with video AND win cash prizes. What’s not to like?

Earlier this week, I had three 6.30am starts for a new comedy series we’ve been shooting for our friends over at Comedybox.tv. Set on a golf course, “Rover” is the story of a failed American golf
professional who has resorted to teaching lessons in a grotty London driving range. We managed to assemble a super cast including Glenn Wrage (Saving Private Ryan), Masashi Fujimoto (Banzai!), Jeff Harding (The Fast Show) and a great new comic talent called Ben Green. We’re busy cutting it at the moment, and I’ll give you a shout as soon as it goes up.

And finally, I had a late one in the office last night interviewing Mr Holy Moly, the man behind the UK’s most popular gossip and entertainment website Holy Moly. It promises to be one of the strangest interviews you’ve ever seen as the guy refuses to have his face seen in public. It will be out soon and will offer an intriguing insight into the machinations of celebrity tittle-tattle.

Right - it’s back to the coalface. I’ve now got to write a proposal for one of the world’s largest broadcasters to see if they are interested in doing some work with us. Watch this space, and thank you for continuing to watch our shows on ChannelFlip.

Love and hugs,
-Justin
