film: Mr Skin Service Shenanigans

When a movie reviewer wants to do some research on the top love-making scenes of all time, where else does he turn but to the famous website MrSkin.com?

Justin’s research jolly quickly turns into disaster when the website takes his credit card details and then dies, leaving him without access.

Even worse, a call to the site’s customer service department, far from getting Jessica Tandy in the nuddy, actually gets Justin the full name, username and location of another Mr Skin customer.

Privacy at its best? Mr Skin is all about uncovering human bits - and customer details are apparently included! Enjoy the video.

Warning: small amount of nudity in screenshots on the vid.

Research, eh? Likely story!

I like that. You were doing ‘research’ lol

To aid you with your ‘research’ you may like this site which is basically a free version of Mr Skin and is of course NSFW;

Can’t a man even look for that bit in Boogie Nights where Heather Graham gets nekkid without having his credit card details nicked.. Oh what a terrible world we live in..

In all seriousness identity theft is a major problem and people place far too much faith in that wee padlock icon that tells you that a website is supposedly secure.

Whilst I love this tale of woe and heed the warning of the dangers of website security, I do not appreciate being shown unrequested nudity without due warning. I do not mind a bit of flesh, but unfortunately my employers do when I view podcasts on my PC in my lunchhour, so a bit of warning would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey Bob, apologies - we’ve added a warning on the post, thanks!

Jim McBride, the owner of Mr Skin, was good enough to write to us after this incident.

He’s kindly allowed his email to be reproduced here, and I think you’ll all agree that he has been both professional and charming….

Justin:

This is Jim McBride. I am the actual Mr. Skin of MrSkin.com.

I just saw your Channel Flip video regarding the disastrous customer-service failure when you attempted to join my site.

I apologize to you, and I am furious about what happened. I also want to thank you for bringing this situation to my attention.

Suffice to say, I am beyond distressed. Addressing this issue immediately is my top priority.

Despite what your experience might suggest, I am 100 percent personally committed to customer privacy. This core value is (and has always been) absolutely vital to my business.

As you may know, MrSkin.com, like numerous other pay sites, uses third-party processors to handle billing. And any time an outside agency is employed, the possibility for complications can increase.

Of course, that’s no excuse. What you endured will be corrected. Believe me. I want to know about any such occurrences.

MrSkin.com’s customer-service department works closely with our third-party processors to ensure privacy policies and documented procedures are consistently adhered to by all employees.

I can guarantee you that I will rectify this situation and further increase our service standards—whatever it takes.

With that in mind, I would like to directly ask you for help in identifying the billing agency with which you dealt. Specifically:

1. Did you arrive at MrSkin.com directly by typing in our URL, or was it through a search engine or another website?

2. What was the name and phone number of the billing agency?

3. Do you know the name of the customer-service agent to whom you spoke?

4. On what day and at what time did you make the call?

Please consider that I have built and maintained a massively successful online business for the past nine years (an eternity on the Internet) by paying meticulous attention to details, treating customers and followers with integrity and respect, and by ensuring that all discrepancies are handled properly and immediately.

Personally, I would like for you to experience the fun and frivolity—as well as the intense dedication—that MrSkin.com brings to celebrating Hollywood at its hottest. On that front, I am prepared to offer you a personal password should you be interested.

Thousands upon thousands of customers have praised every aspect of their time with MrSkin.com. I take pride in this fact, and I am fiercely dedicated to continually providing such satisfaction.

That stated, I’d be honored to invite you, Justin, to contact me now for a follow-up video. Allow me to show you how I conduct my business and what the typical MrSkin.com experience is like.

Let’s talk!

-Jim McBride

Hahahaha

Justin please tell me you are going to take him up on his kind offer of a personal password and indeed a follow up channelflip video with the Porn King himself.

I believe this would be engaging and educational
(but most of all hilarious!)
