film: Jumper
There are five words that should make every self-respecting Star Wars fan shudder: I give you “Jar Jar Binks” and “Hayden Christensen”.
Binks was an abomination. A torrid CGI experiment gone wrong. Actually, scratch that. He was a wretched disaster.
Hayden Christensen, aka young Darth Vader, wasn’t quite Binks bad. But he wasn’t a million miles away from that unholiest of criticisms.
The problem was that he brought nothing to the character except a wooden kind of indifference. He was like Pinocchio without the strings. You might want to blame that on George Lucas’ pedestrian script-writing skills. However, just look how Sir Alec Guinness made the early scripts sound both mystical and poetic.
Several years post ‘Wars’, young Christensen lands on my desk courtesy of the ‘Jumper’ DVD. For a few days, I pushed it around like a child moving unwanted Brussel sprouts around a Christmas dinner plate.
Plucking the courage, I finally watched it and got the surprise of my life. Watch the video and see why.

That movie was so disappointing - i had hoped it was going to be the next matrix but alas, it was not to be
I guess i should have known better than to expect Mr Wooden face not to suck >_<
