games: Metal Gear Online
The servers launched today so I gave it a go. The start-up process is a bit laborious (unless you were in the Beta test) because you first have to download an update which took about 20mins. Then you have to register at konami for a Konami ID and a Gamer ID which you can do here;

Once you have done that you move onto the character registration phase where you can choose how your player looks and sounds. There are loads of options in there but make sure you are completely happy with your choice of name, face and voice because they cant be altered at a later date. If you want to change those you will have to purchase another player but I have no idea what that will cost.
So whats it like?
Great fun. It reminded me of the first time I played Counter Strike. I chose to play a team death match and got the system to match me with similar lowly ranked players and shortly after we were off. The controls and graphics seem exactly the same as in the full game and it was good fun. I finished 4th out of 12 which propelled my online ranking up to the dizzy heights of 5768th 
Whether It has legs remains to be seen but I’m certainly going back for more.
