tech: Digital photo frames

You might think that digital photo frames are much of a muchness - but there are small details that can make all the difference when you’re splashing out the cash.

Be sure to check out viewing angle, connectivity and features as well as just design and screen size.

Watch the video for the full low-down, where I take a look at the Genius PF-A01 as an example.

I liked the idea of tricking friends with short video clips. But then I thought, isn’t it becoming a TV? Soon we might have Sky+ functionality in our picture frames hehe. Or maybe it’s the next way ChannelFlip could get publicity, advertising in picture frames! You could use the logo between slides.

Nice show about the photo frames - it’s good to get some guidance on what to look for, as this enables me to make an informed choice.

The other great thing about this type of show is that it has a slighter longer lifespan that a specific model review - that show will be outdated as soon as another model comes along.

And great job with beard - your own tribute marking the loss of Jeremy Beadle? Or are you fed up with people asking if you are Derren Brown?

Now I’m flipping over to Discus to see whether Piggy Gaynor has grown a beard.

Hi Wil, would have been good to contrast this model with some popular alternatives. I have one of the Philips frames and from others I have seen it still has one of the best screens out there, although it is slightly more expensive than many of the lesser known brands. One product where the old adage “you pays your money and you takes you choice” holds up…
