Wil,

I think the old favourite, Web Developer Toolbar is brilliant, so many options to validate, check accessibility and find errors in HTML, JavaScript and XML files.

Also customising the ___ tool allows you to search as if you were the Googlebot, allowing you to get into some pay sites. It uses the User-Agent Switcher add-on.

Hi Wil,

thanks for sharing your favorite add-ons. :-) I wanna add some more that I use…
FireFTP https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/684 as handy FTP client, Session Manager https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2324 can’t live without it anymore ;-) and Ctrl Tab Preview https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2134

So long…
Chavez

BTW I really like your show Wil. Keep up the great work! :-)

I’m surprised you didn’t mention ethier No script or Ad Block Plus, which I use on all my versions of Firefox to make it more secure.

Although I will admit that No Script needs to have some settings changed so it’s not uber annoying, it’s still a must have if you want a super secure browser.

And Ad Block Plus is as controversial as Down them all when it comes to webmasters as it blocks all the ads on a page, but it makes surfing some sites much easier and much cleaner without all the ads in the way.

Thanks for the list “down them all” and “search with” look interesting but I’ve never been a fan of gestures, not when I have more buttons on my mouse than most people have on their keyboard. :P My favourite extension would have to be Firebug. Not really for most people but great for us web developers.

Two of my favorite extensions are NoScript and Personal Menu.

I can’t believe you didn’t mention Greasemonkey! I can’t live without Greasemonkey.

I second greasemonkey ;)
Also Wil, did something happen to the volume in this episode? I watched #44 before, and had to turn the volume up on this one.

Fox Mark is hugely useful. It syncs my bookmarks across all the computers I use, even if its somewhere completely remote like somebody else’s computer.
