So not everyone has the room for massive 5.1 speaker setups at their computer desk or in their living room - and sometimes stereo is all you need. These new Creative speakers deliver fantastic stereo sound with a decent price and a rather funky aesthetic.

I don’t know if they’ve been updated in the UK but the ones I purchased last week in Australia now come with an additional aux input on the front. The two inputs are mixed together, great speakers.
Sound is incredible. After the bass-less 2200s, anything would have been better, but these really are special. Sound is very rich and it only took a few tweaks with the Windows Media Player SRS effects settings to get the perfect sound.
How do they compare I wonder to something other than another creative product?
For seventy quid you can pick up a S/H amp and a pair of bookshelf speakers from Richer Sounds, I’ve always wondered how that would work as a desktop solution…
