tech: Five Leopard niggles, five top tips

So I’ve been running Leopard for a week or so now, and it’s not a bad OS, although not much of a substantial improvement over Tiger. But there are a few things that really bug me, so I’ve picked my five top niggles and worked out how to fix them. If you’re a Mac user, be sure to take a look.

Digg this video if you like it!

Here are the programmes that I talk about:

Doorstep X Firewall
Steve Gibson
iBackup
Opaque Menu Bar
Wired’s Leopard tweaks
Backdrop
And, err, Playstation 3.

Hope you like the show, it’s something a little different. Almost normal service will be resumed on Monday - check back for a rather natty web how-to. In the meantime, subscribe so that you get all the latest episodes. (iTunes store link!)

Nice on Wil - I for one am waiting for the bugs to be ironed before I upgrade - after 13 years of Apple, I’m a tad weary of being one of the millions of unpaid beta testers!

Nice one Wil, very useful.
I also get frustrated that I can’t make a window fill the screen. Backdrop doesn’t actually solve the problem does it? I want a button on the window, just like in Windows, that I can click to fill the screen. Or even to be able to drag any part of the Window’s edge, instead I have to fiddle with the bottom right corner, yuck.

Will Digg this now.

Wil that was fantastic!

You seemed to be like a tech (and non swearing version) of John Lydon. Loved every second of it.

It would be great if you gave your deliveries like that all the time.
