games: Jam Sessions

Today I’m looking at Ubisoft’s guitar simulator Jam Sessions for the DS. It’s a bit of a strange one…

If you fancy it, you can buy the game here.

Subscribe or check back on Monday to see what I make of Half Life 2 Episode 2, released on Steam this week.

Thanks for watching, and for all of the support and feedback to date.

To quote the Jam Sessions instruction booklet, ‘For those who are about to ROCK, we salute you!’ Seriously.

Following the plug on TWIT I thought I’d look up the shows. Nice. Time there was a quality Brit tech podcast. CNET UK lads not doing it for me. I prefer BOL. Kath is a gem. I don’t play but my son does so I keep half an eye on the scene. Both you and Kath are articulate & entertaining + she is cute as well. I know producers would have you slow down the delivery but I think you can quicken the pace. Keep the shows short and snappy (Mac Break style).

*blush* aw, thanks James! Just out of interest how old is your son (if you don’t mind me asking)? One thing I want to try to bear in mind is that a number of our viewers will have kids or younger relatives so games that might be a little childish for our demographic to play themselves (eg Sonic Rush Adventure) might have appeal as gifts. A great one for gamers of all ages is Zelda Project Hourglass - check out the review next week. Thanks for the support :)

Great review of this. Like the way you’ve done your homework and know whats involved with playing guitar, spoke about drop tunings not possible etc etc instead of some retard reviewing the game and not having a clue about what this is trying to simulate - the geetar dude!!

Listened to most recent twit and Leo said you were cute so curiosity got the better of me.. think I’ll watch the TF2 review now.

Nice work .. keep it british.

I like the little Radiohead riff @ 3:00. Nice reviews BTW. Its rare to find a review show that’s interesting to watch even when the game is something I have little interest in but you obviously know your stuff. You now hold the distinction of being my second favorite online game reviewer (after Zero Punctuation).

Keep up the good work.
